And it didn’t tip over traveling down the gravel road we made! Ha!

Driver Joe arrived early from Canada last Thursday morning…right before the 4 days of frozen ground. So, we probably should have waited one more day for the ground to freeze up a bit, but Joe was quite confident he could get it where we wanted it! We just kept saying, drive fast! And don’t stop on the road…otherwise you may not get going again! So off he went…

Joe had a close call at the corner, but gunned it when he started sliding and made it. The following hour was spent doing about a 30 point turn while using sheets of plywood for the really muddy parts, in order to get the home situated to overlook the flower field, highland cow and alpacas! Joe and Ken finally got it there though. Our electrical cord ended up being too short…so Linds and I took off looking for another RV electrical cord while the guys “tested” everything else. Joe couldn’t leave until all the “things” on the tiny home were tested and shown to be in perfect working order. All in all, it took about 4 hours to get it in to place. And it was a pleasant and beautiful morning for it! We were so grateful for that. Eventually a deck will be built to come out the front and we’re adding some shelving and things to the inside before we move in. Below are some pictures of the inside including one with our friends who run the farm.
We are busy organizing, packing and moving things! So far, one of us is having a really hard time parting from books (so she gave up more clothes so there was more room for books) and one of us is just having a hard time giving up all the things, because it will all just fit in the loft! 😉 I would say my biggest challenge is figuring out what’s most important for the kitchen and thinking through cooking and how much tea I can fit in the limited cupboard space. Ken is still too focused on wrapping up all the outside things at the tiny home, so his answer is to just throw it all away! Haha!

For those interested in the dimensions…its 30 feet long and 8 feet wide. Next week’s challenge will be getting our King size bed into that little downstairs room. I’m not giving my bed up…we shall see if it works!
T’minus 14 days until we need to be out of our current place…
