All About That Deck!

We knew a deck added on to the tiny house would be a big deal, but it wasn’t just a big deal, it was a gamechanger! And doubled our “living space” in a way! We’re SO incredibly thankful the owners were able and willing to add it, because odds are we would have failed this little experiment by now without it! A neighbor built it and tied it in to the roof line so the front is completely protected from water. Yay! And the metal roof makes for a lovely and relaxing environment when it rains. Top uses so far: a table and chairs to sit in to have dinner together, play games together, homework sessions (instead of the floor), extra tub storage for shoes & boots, a place to set groceries down before taking them in or getting soaking wet in the process! The biggest highlight recently, has been watching the “neighbors” try and round up the chickens early for bed. The chickens in general have been quite entertaining…they too are enjoying the deck and making themselves quite at home! 😉 As the weather around here continues to get better and better, we plan to be out on it more and more taking in the sunsets and flower field.
